Here is the letter we received from the welfare home:

Fu Hui Ying, female, was found at the door of the Civil Affair Office Of Fu Ling District at about 7:40 on December 16, 2002. Nobody could find her parents, so she was an abandoned baby. The staff of the Civil Affair Office Of Fu Ling District picked her up and sent her to our welfare institute. When she was found, she was wearing a red wadded jacket. There was no any information about her.

Fu Hui Ying’s height was 21.3 inches and weight was 9.9 pounds. Her chest size was 14.2 inches and head size was 14.6 inches. According to her physical development, we thought she had just been born about one month before. Her DOB should be November 16, 2002. We name her as Fu Hui Ying. Fu means welfare institute. Hui means smart and intellectual. Ying is a beautiful girl’s name. Fu Hui Ying drank 60ml milk, which was a normal volume, during the first week in our welfare home. She sleeps over 20 hours per day. According to doctors’ checking up, she is a healthy infant.

Fu Hui Ying lives in-group in our welfare home. We feed her manually and add her Vitamins and microelements gradually. She is thriving. She smiled when being two months old. She looked at other people’s faces for a long time and played with her own hands when being four months old. At present, she is 24.4 inches tall and 13.4 pounds. Her chest size is 15.8 inches and head size is 15.8 inches. She sits well if you hold her hip. She murmurs sometimes. She is able to hold toys and play with her hands. If seeing somebody coming, she will say something constantly. She smiles if you amuse her. She enjoys music and listening to adult’s speaking. She looks for you when you call her name. She is very interested in toys with sounds. She smiles and cries on purpose. She is very cute.

Fu Hui Ying has a healthy life style. She gets up at 7:00 and goes to bed at 20:30. She has a nap during 11:30 to 13:30 and another nap during 17:00 to 17:30. She drinks milk five times or six times per day and 130ml per meal. The first mealtime is 6:00am and then after three or four hours once. She has bowel movements twice or three times per day and she urinates several times everyday.

Fu Hui Ying has excellent skin, a pair of beautiful eyes and a cute mouth. She loves smiling and seldom cries. She is a healthy child and very adorable. Her vaccination is up-to-date. Her physical and intellectual developments are all on her targets.

We had to send the Chinese Officials 6 pictures of us doing everyday things. They say that the officials in the Matching Room take the pictures that you send them and match facial features of the children to prospective parents.
So - how do you think they did??
